Emissions & California (CARB) Notice

Emissions & California (CARB) Notice

Last updated: November 7, 2026

Federal law and many state laws prohibit removing or disabling emissions control equipment on motor vehicles, and California (and states that have adopted California standards) only allow emissions-related aftermarket parts on pollution-controlled vehicles if the part has a California Air Resources Board (CARB) Executive Order (EO) number or is otherwise exempt.

How we label products

  • CARB EO number shown: the manufacturer has a CARB Executive Order for the listed applications. Keep the EO label and paperwork with your vehicle for inspections.
  • "Not legal for sale or use in California": the product does not have a CARB EO. It may not be sold for, or installed on, pollution-controlled motor vehicles in California or other states that follow California rules. These items may be legal only for racing vehicles that are never used on public roads, where permitted by law.

Our policy

  • We do not knowingly sell parts designed to remove, defeat or disable emissions controls.
  • We may cancel orders for products that are not legal in the shipping destination.
  • You are responsible for using products only as permitted by federal, state and local law.
